Quantum Solutions held a one day combined Proteus implementation and training session, as a kick-off for the evaluation pilot of Proteus in Aibel.

The result of this event was the following:
A user can now log-on to a workspace in Proteus in a custom dialog, select which Safran networks to load from each of their four servers (Bergen, Haugesund, Olso and Stavanger), and which disciplines to load data from.
The user can then, for example, see the time-phased histogram split on discipline, or an overview of activities that are behind schedule in a so called "completion report".

Data from their personnel (MPP) system was also read, and spread in time, so that the required manpower (demand) represented by the network activities can be correlated with the available manpower (supply) for the various disciplines.

Aibel is testing the Proteus Configurator, and will be more or less self sufficient when it comes to implementing further solutions to real life project management issues.  Quantum Solutions feels confident that their evaluation team of planning personnel (headed by Jan B Johnsen, Jan Ole Nes and Bjørg-Marit Vørrå) will find new and creative ways to address old challenges relating to existing project management issues.

Another combined training / problem solving session will be held in a few weeks time.

We look forward helping Aibel  into the future...
