ConocoPhillips Norge choose Proteus for HSE Working Environment Area Chart (WEAC) mapping

ConocoPhillips Norge has decided to use Proteus as a tool within their HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, Quality) Department, for interacting with data relating to Working Environment Area Chart (WEAC) mapping.
Each area on an installation (either onshore or offshore) has government regulated norms and standards, that state how much noise, heat, vibration, light, etc, is acceptable for normal working environment. These norms must be monitored at regular intervals, and during different phases of a project, to ensure compliance with government regulations.
The Proteus WEAC solution will facilitate logging of such observations, whilst also allowing deviations to be tracked and handled in a timely and structured fashion.

Quantum Solutions are excited to receive this request, since it represents a new and expanded horizon in which Proteus can be used within HSEQ areas of daily business.
The timing of this request also fits very nicely with current developments being made in the Proteus Tool-set:
Visual interaction with so called "Plot Plans" (2D drawings of a deck on an installation) will allow visualisation of WE (Working Environment) information as superimposed colours for each area, with areas easily selected by simply clicking on it - bringing up entry form for detail data.
On our upcoming Proteus TechDay annual event, scheduled for 11th November 2010 (Ipark, Stavanger, Norway), we will show some new ideas and developments that further leverage this possibility of visualising Risk Information, over-layed on a geographical image of a plant or installation.
Quantum Solutions hopes that this new use of Proteus technology within the field of HSEQ, will be the start of many more new and exciting ideas in the future use of this highly flexible software.
